more stockholm

It's about time I got around to posting these... wouldn't you say?

I'm sort of indifferent to Stockholm.  It's a beautiful city,  but very expensive (like the rest of Scandinavia), the shopping wasn't great (no big surprise), and it's not different enough from Copenhagen to make me want to revisit.

As a tourist, I don't think I'd bother much with Scandinavia.  Scandinavia has a lot going for it, but thinking from a tourist perspective, if I were crossing the Atlantic and only had 10 days to spend in Europe, I'd much rather spend it in Italy, Amsterdam, England, Berlin, Paris, etc..

I'm a bit spoiled these days because Robert lives in the center of a popular cruise ship port, so I'm pretty much on holiday every weekend ;-)

We ease into our Saturdays, wandering the farmer's markets, flea markets, the grounds of the royal summer residence, the cobblestone streets and seaside, ending the day tucked into woolen blankets on his balcony with a bottle of red wine.

As Robert is so fond of saying, "life could be a lot worse."

Indeed, it could.  He's taking me to England next week for a bit of London shopping and to *gasp* meet his parents :)
