Last October, I found secondhand dining chairs for about $10/apiece, and I was in quite a dilemma about how to work them into my pink living/dining room.
It only took me all winter and most of the spring to get it sorted out!
The chairs sat painted white with those dreadful 90's country blue seats for several months while I hunted down the perfect fabric.
The perfect fabric never showed up, so I upcycled a "too small for my table, but too pink to pass up" secondhand tablecloth.

I had just enough fabric to cover the 6 chairs and make a set of matching napkins! The cost for each chair came out to be about $11, excluding paint.
Not too shabby for some banged up old chairs and a vintage tablecloth :)
It's not exactly what I'd envisioned, but sometimes the universe throws me something
that's completely different from what I had in mind, and it just works.
P.S. I'd wanted a white mirror, but the gold one was marked down to less than half price, and I'm not one bit sorry that I didn't hold out for white...Labels: diy, frugal living, green living, home, simple living, thrift shopping
